Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Aurora Guitar Tuner (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use the App. We are committed to protecting your privacy and have designed Aurora Guitar Tuner to collect as little data as possible.
1. Microphone & Audio Data
To tune your instrument, the App needs access to your device’s microphone. The incoming audio signal is analyzed in real time, on your device, to determine the pitch of the note being played.
- Audio is processed locally on your device only.
- Audio is not recorded and is not saved to permanent storage.
- Audio is never transmitted to us or to any third party.
- The microphone is only active while the tuner is in use; you can revoke microphone permission at any time in your device settings.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
The App does not collect or require any of the following:
- Your name, email address, or contact information.
- A user account or login.
- Your precise or approximate location.
- Recordings of your playing or any audio content.
3. App Settings & Preferences
Any preferences you set (such as tuning presets, reference pitch, instrument selection, or theme) are stored locally on your device. This information stays on your device and is not sent to us. Removing the App from your device deletes these settings.
4. Analytics & Diagnostics
The App itself does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. If you download the App through an app store, the store platform (for example, Apple’s App Store or Google Play) may collect aggregate, anonymized statistics such as downloads, crashes, and basic usage in accordance with its own privacy policy. This data is governed by the respective platform, not by us, and is not personally identifiable to us.
5. Children’s Privacy
The App is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the App does not collect personal data at all, no special data-collection concerns apply to younger users.
6. Data Security
Because audio processing happens on-device and no personal data is transmitted or stored on our servers, there is no central database of user data that could be exposed. Your settings remain protected by your device’s own security mechanisms.
7. Your Rights
Since we do not collect or store personal data about you, there is no personal data for us to access, correct, or delete. You remain in full control of microphone permissions and locally stored settings through your device’s system settings.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
9. Contact Us
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us at a@lexpenz.com.
